Hip Hop Done Different! Konshens music is a fusion of hip hop, r&b, rock, soul, funk and go-go. But it has not been clearly defined exactly WHAT his style of music should be called. So far, its been called "hip hop soul"...but what would you call it?
The top three suggestions will be revealed in the upcoming weeks for everyone to vote on. The person who coins the new genre will get a copy of Konshens' critically acclaimed CD "the evolution" and a lifetime pass to any Konshens and His State of Mind show.
Konshens refers to himself and the band as the "Hip Hop version of Frankie Beverly & Maze". Konshens is pioneering a whole new generation of hip hop artists in the DC, MD & VA area that are now forming bands and performing together. He wants to be to hip hop bands what Chuck Brown is to go-go...a trailblazer in this music business that will be around for years to come!
